Red Creek Outfitters L.L.C. is a family owned and operated business that is dedicated to the present and future stability of game animals. We are presently operating a CWMU(Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit). This unit iscomprised of approximately 50,000 acres of some of the greatest habitat that the State of Utah and the Rocky Mountain area has to offer. This unit is monitored very closely by bot RCO L.L.C. and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Herd numbers on the ranch of all big game animals including Mule Deer, Elk, Moose, Cougar and Bear are managed to ensure that the number of animals harvested each season is one that will allow us to continually improve on the quality of antlered animals, maintain adequate habitat, keep the bull-cow and buck-doe ratios balanced, and help control predator problems to a minimum.
The CWMU program is a great tool in game management because of the flexibility that the program offers. The hunting season runs from the first of September through the last of October. During this period of time, the hunter has the opportunity to hunt Elk, Deer, Moose or a combination of any three animals. It also allows the use of any weapon, (archery, black powder, rifle) or combination of weapons to be used in harvesting game. Bull Elk and Moose are hunted during peak rutting periods. Small numbers of hunters are allowed on the ranch during any five day hunting period.
